UD1611 1/16 4X4 RC Monster Truck, 2S Battery, RTR, Brushed Motor

I'm really impressed with this RC car. It handles a variety of surfaces surprisingly well. grass, pavement, and even some rough patches were no problem. battery life is solid, and since it comes with two rechargeable batteries, i get plenty of playtime before needing to charge again. What stood out most is the speed. This car is much faster than I expected. It has two speed modes. beginners and younger kids can start slow, while adults or more experienced users can switch to the faster mode (dont use this mode inside the house). It even pulls off some fun tricks and has taken a few hard hits but keeps going strong without any issues. Assembly was straightforward. instructions were clear, and I had it ready in about 30 minutes. I also appreciated that it came with a few spare parts, which is a nice touch. Just note that the remote requires 4 AA batteries, which aren't included. Overall, this RC car offers fantastic value for the price - durable, fast, versatile, and fun for both kids and adults. Highly recommend.

This RC car is very responsive with easy maneuverability. I'm impressed by how fast this car is as well as its ability to operate in tall grass. I love the light package that has both headlights and taillights that you can turn on and off independently of the car functions. It comes with an extra rechargeable battery that can be used in the remote control instead of using disposable ones. It also has additional spare parts and decals.
The all-metal chassis is really durable and should hold up to whatever you toss at it. I like how it is upgradeable to make it faster as well.
On the minus side, having to remove the body from the chassis to power on the car is not quite as easy as I'd like it to be.

I was super surprised how good this truck handled at that price. In the past I have bought more higher priced rc trucks that have disappointed me, but after putting this one thru a lot including puddles and curb hits, it still did wonders. Its goes pretty fast, I really like how fast it stops when going superfast. It handles really good. Jumps are pretty high. I had a lot of fun drifting with it. Only issue I had was putting on the light, the small directions made it seem more difficult then it was, but the bigger book directions explain better. I used a Bobby pin to widen the lights holder first and that made it really easy to put the lights in and looked awesome at night. Highly recommend!l this for any level!

My collection of bashers, drifters, and crawlers has been growing steadily over the past two years. With so many reasonably priced new cars coming out, with quality and performance unheard, of a decade ago, for a car under $120.

This 1:16 basher by UDIRC is so good, it ALMOST, feels brushless.

The quality and details in this rig are very good for this price range, with a metal driveline and one of my favorite motors of all time: the brushed 390. I have this motor in several 1:16s and 1:14s, and can always count on powerful torque, speed, and reliability with batteries that won't cost you as much as the car.

The chassis is well built, and uses hex bolts throughout(no Philips head screws and drivers!), and comes with a set of wrenches.

The shocks are oil filled, and do a decent job soaking up hits, with reasonable rebound and minimal pogoing.

The controller is very good, feels nice in the hand and has a wheel with a thumb paddle that actually is placed well enough for one handed driving.

The stand out design feature, I liked best about this car, and separates it from all my other excellent off-roaders, is the how the shell attaches to the chassis. No losable pins, no slop, instead the sturdy(and cool looking), shell, clips in easy and secure. It's awesome.

The car is well thought out, with the advanced beginner in mind.
Included are all the replacements parts you will most likely break, and all the tools to replace them. Although I always run nylon for practical reasons, and only metal up cars to be displayed as shelf queens, I'm not sure there are metal kits available yet, but the nylon parts on this rig, are bomber, with no rush to upgrade for better performance.
You CAN, easily upgrade to a brushless motor(with an offered kit), meaning, the metal driveline is built for stronger motors.

Driving this car echos all the good parts and design in how well it does everything. The 3-speed switch can make it docile, sporty, or max the 390, and shred dirt. It's stable at speed(20mph+ in a wink), and a quick, tight corner turner, and jumper.

Overall, this is a really nice 1:16, car and kit, for the price.
I got two of these cars for testing, One I have been testing for a week, and will see how well it wears, and how it compares to a new one after a month or two, and maybe some parts repair.
For now, it's currently one of my favorite trail cars, and just fun to drive! 5 stars????

I ordered this truck for a good all around, not too crazy basher. And it's exactly that.

This little truck comes with a little assembly required. You get to run the lighting wiring and put on all the decals. This was a lot of fun with my child.

The truck as a neat little body clip design, but it's a bit difficult to get the front clip without having to flex the body a lot. Also, getting the single pin in after closing the body clip is a pain.

While the stickers are a neat touch, they won't last long. They're already peeling. Luckily it's just a little trim and the head/tail lights. (The sticker ones do not light up obviously). The actual head and tail lights are in the bumpers.

Once put together, this thing actually has a ton of power and a moderate top speed, without being crazy. It does run easily through grass, it turns well and does some wild donuts on smooth concrete.

I put my trucks through the ringer when it comes to overall play, without intentionally trying tl break them obviously, or head on collisions. This truck handled the dirt, mud, rocks, grass and (while I don't recommend) it plowed through the water easily. It did however act up once it was really wet, and the wheels had to be squeezed out. Otherwise once dry, it was ready to rip again. I easily got 20 minutes out of a battery. Speaking of batteries, this is the first RC I've seen that allows you to use the truck battery for the remote. Or stick with AAs.

Overall, it's a great basher (around 70 bucks at the time of order) for the price and it looks and feels great. Plenty of power on the brushed motor! I would like to see improvements on ease of body removal and the body clip post should be a little taller.
